"Ounce of practice worths tonnes of preaching ", “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” These are few quotes which have a great influence on me and my working. Its often ' my personal' conscience that leads to take up initiatives. I also should confess that its the same behavior that drives me to respond immediately on "time" and the professional self within delivers the best from me resulting for an appropriate and meaningful interventions. I always believed that, the more you are "practically" involved the better you grow professionally. Besides my interests and passion to work, I am thankful to all those people who always helped me with right opportunities at right time. This belief helped me work rigorsly and take every opportunity I found to enhance my skills and knowledge. This also impressed people around me to help me with valuable information that could will give me more opportunities on / off field. My first exposures started as a BSW student at Roda Mistry College of Social Work, I still remember the initial days of my college when I was always curious to do some activity and keep things busy in my college as well as personal life. And the first thing I did was joining Indian Red Cross Society as Life member. As a IRCS member I organised a Blood Donation program at my college on 1 December 2004. This was the first event I organised and is a no looking back initiative. |
